Binance, the largest global exchange has launched direct Ugandan Shilling (UGX) deposits for trading crypto.

This FIAT on-ramp will allow Ugandans to have access to buying selling cryptocurrencies like BTC, ETH, BNB, XRP, BUSD, and USDT with their local currency. At the time of launch, Ugandan Shilling (UGX) deposits can be done through mobile money. On the other hand, traders can withdraw funds through bank transfer or mobile money.

The deposits and withdrawals go through the Flutterwave gateway, the same payment processor Binance uses in Nigeria. To access UGX deposits, you can click on “Wallet” → “Spot Wallet” and find “UGX”. Then click on “Deposit” or “Withdraw” and choose “Mobile Money” or “Bank transfer.”

Before this, Binance launched Binance Uganda, a standalone platform for Ugandans to trade cryptocurrencies. Uganda joins Nigeria, South Africa, and Kenya as African countries supported on Binance.com.
