We see Africa as an emerging market in blockchain technology that has potential to become the biggest in the world. For this reason, we are moving around to interact with the community and build the ecosystem together with them, which is one of our focus at OKEx.

He went ahead to discuss the future of blockchain technology and cryptocurrency on the African continent:

We believe Africa could be the next frontier for cryptocurrency in the world. It has been proving by statistics that Nigeria has made the most searches for the term, “Bitcoin” more than any other country as at April 2018. Interest is spunning out on crypto from everywhere in Africa and we believe that a digital assets economy is the way to go for the Africa continent.

Aside from the informative presentations by some of Africa’s biggest blockchain influencers, attendees also get the chance to enter giveaways where they could win cryptocurrencies and OkEx merchandise.

With a focus on Africa, OkEx hopes to capture users from the ever-growing number of cryptocurrency enthusiasts on the continent.
